Preserving America’s Farming Heritage for Future Generations

Visit our American Center for Farming Heritage

Lewes, Delaware

Our Mission: To share the stories of the American Farm Family, educate the next generation on where our food comes from, and, through a combination of living and learning, shape the next generation of farming.

Explore ACFH

The American Center for Farming Heritage is dedicated to sharing the stories of the American Farm Family, educating the next generation on where our food comes from, and strengthening our farming communities through three core areas:
  • Education - School tours, workshops, hands-on farm learning.
  • Preservation - Protecting farmland and farming traditions.
  • Community - Events, exhibitions, and farmer collaboration.

Preserve through education.

What we do

For five generations, the Hopkins family has farmed in Lewes, DE. Today, the American Center for Farming Heritage builds on that legacy by teaching children where their food comes from, preserving farmland for future use, and celebrating the resilience of the American farm family.

We believe that the American Center for Farming Heritage will light a spark in countless souls to find their own inner farmer.
